Kalmbach Media, publisher of industry-leading hobby websites and magazines, is seeking a Director of Analytics to join its team. Data is at the core of our strategy development and drives our business decisions. This person will serve as the primary analytics voice of the Company and align and direct the management, development, and integration of data analytics and business intelligence necessary for supporting the mission, vision strategies, objectives, and goals of the company. The Director of Analytics will work with the SVP of Consumer Marketing to implement new measurement techniques and data resources to continue to evolve the Company's analytics. This key role will support all of Consumer Marketing by delivering advanced analytics and actionable insights to help drive Kalmbach's overall performance.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead data discovery, integration, establishing of key metrics and KPIs in consultation with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the effort to model and analyze website performance and digital marketing campaigns with the goal of optimizing site performance and revenue.
  • Proactively compile and present actionable insights gleaned from analytics of multiple data sources (including SEO, SEM, Display, Retargeting, Email) to educate and influence key business decision-making with our teams.
  • Proactively share insights from the customer database to inform the Company's customer strategy and business decisions across the organization with the goal of increasing revenues per customer.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop data driven marketing campaigns.
  • Support the overall performance of the Company's websites and support new site projects with requirements definitions and guidance on strategies that ensure appropriate and accurate tracking and measurement.
  • Manage Google Analytics to provide advanced digital analytics and ensure accurate reporting of all Kalmbach digital properties.

Education & Experience

  • BS degree in marketing, data analytics, statistics, math, or other relevant degree.
  • 8+ years' experience with marketing analytics, preferably in a business-to-consumer context.
  • Direct experience in Data Science, Data Mining and Digital Marketing Analytics and tools, including Google Analytics and familiarity with other analytics platforms.
  • Initiative, integrity and curiosity for understanding patterns and behavior using data.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills combined with strong verbal and written communication skills.
